Renen Raz was an Israeli peace activist.
Israel likes to claim that it is „the only democracy in the Middle East“, and promotes the unique position of homosexual people in the country. Critical voices call this „Pink Washing“.
Renen Raz was also affected by these methods because of his homosexuality. He used his speech in the Amerlinghaus in Vienna to publish his criticism.
The lecture was held in September 2015. Renen Raz died on October 24, 2016 of a brain tumor.
Out of respect for this man, his courage and his work, we publish this speech.
